Howard Tang

Howard Tang serves as the Global Strategic Marketing Senior Manager at Johnson & Johnson MedTech, where he spearheads the identification of emerging trends and the development of global product portfolio strategies for orthopedic soft tissue repair devices and implants. With over 15 years of experience at J&J, Howard has been instrumental in bringing to market dozens of innovative products in the shoulder and knee arthroscopy sectors, including the world’s first self-tensioning suture.

Prior to joining J&J, Howard was a management consultant at PRTM (now PwC Consulting) and served as a technology portfolio manager at The Boeing Company. In these roles, he gained deep insights into market dynamics and product strategy, equipping him to drive impactful innovations in the med tech field.

Howard holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management and earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering from the University of Michigan.
